Retractable Screen Door Repair in Toronto & the GTA

Need retractable screen door repair near you? Screen Door Guys fixes every common retractable screen problem on-site, usually in a single visit: screens that won’t retract or snap back too hard, lost spring tension, torn or sagging mesh, doors that jump off their track, and broken handles, magnets or latches. We repair all major brands, including Phantom, Mirage, Wizard, Genius and Brio.

We serve Toronto and the entire GTA with same-day and next-day service, seven days a week. Every job starts with a free on-site estimate — our licensed, WSIB-insured technicians inspect your retractable screen door before any work begins, so you know exactly what it needs and what it costs.

Not sure whether to repair or replace? In most cases a re-screen, spring re-tension or track adjustment restores your door for a fraction of the cost of a new unit. If the housing or mechanism is beyond repair, we’ll quote a replacement on the spot — no pressure, no hidden fees. We also repair storm doors with built-in retractable screens.

Retractable Screen Door Replacement & Screen Mesh Replacement

If your retractable screen is torn, stretched or falling out of its track, you usually don’t need a whole new door — a retractable screen door screen replacement (re-screening) swaps the damaged mesh for new, tight-fitting screen material while keeping your existing housing and frame. It’s the most cost-effective fix and takes our technicians less than an hour in most homes.

When the cassette, springs or slide bar are worn beyond repair, we supply and install full retractable screen door replacements custom-measured to your door opening — single entry doors, double French doors and wide patio openings. We carry standard fibreglass mesh, pet-resistant mesh and fine “no-see-um” mesh options.

Every replacement includes removal of the old unit, precise fitting, tension calibration and a full operation test. Call (647) 694-8369 to find out whether a re-screen or a replacement is the right call for your door — the estimate is free either way.

Retractable Screen Door Installation — Toronto & GTA

Looking for retractable screen door installation near you? We supply and install retractable screens for single entry doors, double/French doors, sliding patio doors and even oversized openings. Each unit is custom-measured so it sits flush with your door frame, glides smoothly and seals properly against bugs.

A typical installation takes 1–2 hours. Our technicians mount, align and tension the screen, then walk you through operation and care. We install in Toronto, Etobicoke, Scarborough, North York, Mississauga, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Oakville and across the GTA.

Amazing service! The technician came shortly after we placed the call, and impressed us with his ability to repair our very old metal sliding doors within a few hours -- even though it involved taking the whole assembly down, removing the broken parts and custom fitting the replacement wheel system. The sliding door is now good as new, glides effortlessly and closes properly. Warmly recommended.

Very Very Very expensive. I had no choice but to pay for the service and feel taken advantage of. Visited Home Depot where the new lock and supplies were purchase, and it was less than $100. Cost of repair was $600 plus tax for no more than 1 hrs of labour. Gentleman who came does not own the business, he was very nice and helpful. Called in to his boss for the quote.

Retractable Screen Door FAQs

How much does retractable screen door repair cost in Toronto?

It depends on the fix. Re-screening (mesh replacement) and spring re-tensioning are the most affordable repairs, while full unit replacements cost more. Every job starts with a free on-site estimate, so you know the exact price before any work begins.

Do you repair Phantom retractable screen doors?

Yes. We are an independent repair company (not affiliated with Phantom Screens®) and we service Phantom, Mirage, Wizard, Genius, Brio and most other retractable screen brands across Toronto and the GTA.

Can you replace just the screen mesh instead of the whole door?

Yes. In most cases a re-screen replaces the torn or stretched mesh while keeping your existing housing and frame — it is the most cost-effective fix and usually takes under an hour.

Do you offer same-day retractable screen door repair?

Yes. We offer same-day and next-day service across Toronto and the GTA, seven days a week from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

What areas do you serve?

Toronto, Etobicoke, Scarborough, North York, Mississauga, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Hamilton and the surrounding GTA.

Why won’t my retractable screen door retract?

The most common causes are lost spring tension, debris in the track, or a misaligned slide bar. All three are quick, inexpensive repairs that our technicians can usually complete in a single visit.
